The most rewarding aspect of my practice is learning about our clients' goals for their businesses and helping them to reach those goals efficiently while also providing them with insights into any potential opportunities and risks. I am dedicated to working diligently for our clients because I know how important our work is to the continued success of their businesses.

Maria Claudia Fuentes advises clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions. She represents investors, trust companies, and family-owned businesses in the purchase and sale of commercial real estate properties throughout Texas and across the United States. Her experience includes acquisitions and dispositions of self-storage facilities, mixed-use shopping centers, office buildings, large-scale multifamily communities, raw land for residential and commercial development, and industrial facilities.

Maria also counsels clients on sophisticated and complex leasing matters spanning retail, office, and industrial projects. She negotiates and structures leases with a focus on harmonizing legal terms with practical operational needs. Clients rely on her clear communication and sensible counsel to advance leasing objectives efficiently and effectively.

Maria also represents borrowers in commercial lending transactions, advising on and negotiating loan documents. Notably, she participated in a transaction involving a newly launched real estate lending platform related to a $500 million residential transition lending (RTL) deal with a leading global investment manager, where she managed documentation and coordinated the closing process.

Clients and colleagues value Maria’s organization, strategic approach and meticulous attention to detail. She brings a solution-oriented mindset to every engagement, combining market knowledge with rigorous execution to deliver practical solutions, efficient results and sustainable legal outcomes.
