Shanna B. Davar
Counsel

In the game of chess, there are a variety of strategies to choose and moves to make. I bring a similar mindset to negotiating and structuring complex financing transactions. By always thinking two steps ahead, I can help clients resolve difficult issues proactively, minimize their risks, and reach the best possible outcome in every transaction.

Shanna Davar focuses her practice on helping financial institutions, private lenders and borrowers structure a wide variety of commercial financing transactions spanning a number of industries. Her broad experience includes acquisition financings, mezzanine financings, syndicated and non-syndicated transactions, and secured and unsecured commercial transactions. Shanna also handles transactions involving equity and asset acquisitions, equipment financing, working capital lines of credit, and real estate acquisition, construction, and renovation loans.

Clients rely on Shanna to guide them through every aspect of the commercial lending process: from identifying their transaction goals and advising on potential risks, to drafting and negotiating documentation. She also helps lenders resolve issues in distressed loan scenarios, including workouts, restructurings, and property foreclosures.

Outside the office, Shanna enjoys giving back to the community. Her volunteer work has included serving as a guardian ad litem through Child Advocates and providing assistance to the Georgetown Law Juvenile Justice Clinic where she represented minors charged with delinquent acts.
