Seth Granda focuses his practice on labor and employment law, representing management clients in disputes across federal, state and administrative forums throughout the United States. With extensive experience in both litigation and compliance matters, he provides strategic counsel to employers facing complex workplace challenges.

Seth regularly defends clients before key regulatory agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Department of Labor (DOL) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). His litigation experience encompasses all aspects of employment and labor law, including cases involving the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), Labor Management Relations Act (LMRA), Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Tennessee Uniform Trade Secrets Act (TUTSA), Tennessee Human Rights Act (THRA) and Tennessee Public Protection Act (TPPA), among others.

Seth has successfully handled a diverse range of employment disputes, from unfair labor practice allegations and wrongful termination claims to cases involving retaliation, discrimination, wage disputes, trade secret misappropriation and restrictive covenant enforcement. His practical approach and industry knowledge enable him to develop effective strategies tailored to each client's specific needs and business objectives.

Representative Experience
  • Represented national transportation company in hearing before National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) on charges of unfair labor practices, including demand of $1.4 million in back wages.
  • Pursued declaratory judgment on behalf of employees of regional chemical plating company seeking to have non-competition agreements declared invalid due to actions of former employer.
  • Defended regional electric company in federal court against alleged violations of the Labor Management Relations Act and filed suit seeking to set aside arbitration award on behalf of company.
  • Defended national transportation company in federal court in WARN Act litigation, resulting in favorable mediated settlement.
  • Prosecuted causes of action on behalf of regional environment, health and safety services corporation in federal litigation to enforce restrictive covenants against former employee.
  • Represented regional chemical plating company and employees in federal litigation involving complex civil claims for alleged violations of the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Act, Defend Trade Secrets Act, and Breach of Contract while prosecuting countersuit on behalf of client seeking damages for defamation.
  • Led expedited electronic discovery effort on behalf of national transportation company in response to NLRB subpoena requiring, as a matter of compliance, analysis and production of thousands of electronic communications and attachments with multiple custodians over several years.
  • Defended national transportation company in class action Wage and Hour litigation in federal court, resulting in favorable mediated settlement of over $10 million.
  • Obtained voluntary dismissal on behalf of nurse in state court litigation instituted by former employer claiming trade secret misappropriation, intentional interference with business relations and inducement to breach claims.
