Gray Reed served as counsel to Texas Pacific Land Corporation in the closing of two coordinated transactions totaling $470 million. The acquisitions involved two separate seller entities but were structured and executed as a single, unified deal that strengthens the company’s presence in the Midland Basin.

The acquisitions include approximately 17,306 net royalty acres across key West Texas counties in the Midland Basin. Roughly 70 percent of the acreage is adjacent to or overlaps existing drilling spacing units in which Texas Pacific Land already holds an interest, and about 61 percent of the assets are operated by major industry players including Exxon Mobil Corporation, Diamondback Energy Inc. and Occidental Petroleum Corporation. These interests are expected to enhance the company’s portfolio and contribute to long-term growth.
