Gray Reed Attorney Honored by State Bar of Texas Bankruptcy Section

Gray Reed Corporate Restructuring & Bankruptcy Associate Amber Carson received the Romina L. Mulloy-Bossio Achievement Award, given by the Bankruptcy Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, on April 9, 2021.

This award is given to one outstanding young bankruptcy attorney every other year who has made contributions to community service, pro bono activities, and/or furthering efforts to encourage and support other young bankruptcy attorneys in their community and at large. Carson was selected by a committee that considered all outstanding qualities of each nominee.  Outstanding qualities include, but are not limited to, exemplified:

•             Professional proficiency/excellence;

•             Service to the profession/bar;

•             Service to the community;

•             Pro bono activities; and/or

•             Encouragement, support, and mentorship of other young bankruptcy lawyers.

At Gray Reed, Carson represents debtors, creditors, official committees, trustees and other parties in interest in all facets of bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and federal bankruptcy-related litigation matters. She has guided clients in many different industries, including healthcare, retail, construction, oil and gas, restaurant and manufacturing to successful outcomes in many courts in Texas and across the country.

A Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law graduate, Carson is active in several industry and community organizations and currently holds leadership positions for the State Bar of Texas Bankruptcy Law Section and the DFW Association of Young Bankruptcy Lawyers.
