Daniel B. Howry
Associate

I believe that empathy is the cornerstone of effective legal representation. By truly understanding my clients' needs and concerns, I can passionately advocate for their best interests while providing the strategic counsel they deserve.

Daniel Howry joined Gray Reed in 2025 after serving as a Summer Associate in 2024. During that time, he worked closely with the firm's seasoned litigators on commercial, insurance and civil matters.

Daniel brings a unique perspective to his legal practice, having worked in diverse professional environments including corporate offices, hospitality and entertainment management. This varied background has cultivated his adaptability, professionalism and attention to detail—qualities that enable him to connect with clients from all walks of life and deliver results-oriented representation.

While in law school at South Texas College of Law Houston, Daniel distinguished himself as a member of the South Texas Law Review and a Presidential Fellow. During this time, he served as a judicial intern in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, where he learned how complex cases are assessed from the other side of the bench. His legal experience was further enriched by working as a research assistant for the Vice Dean of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, where he conducted extensive research on institutional child abuse and developed policy arguments on significant social issues. Daniel also participated in the South Texas Advocacy program as a brief writer and oral arguer in two major national moot court competitions.
