Cahill Maffei joined Gray Reed in 2024 after serving as a Summer Associate in 2023. During that time, he worked closely with the firm’s litigators on commercial disputes, including class actions. Before law school, Cahill worked for tech-industry giant Hewlett Packard and the semiconductor firm Arm, gaining valuable experience in both M&A integration and business operations.
At Texas A&M University School of Law, Cahill served as the Managing Editor of the Texas A&M Law Review and competed on moot court as a brief writer and oralist. During law school, Cahill published his law review comment on the antitrust implications of Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision-Blizzard. He also interned for the Honorable Michelle V. Larson, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas and externed for the Honorable Sean D. Jordan, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Cahill will clerk for Judge Jordan starting in 2026.
