Gray Reed Chairman Cary Gray Named to Baylor College of Medicine Board of Trustees
On August 29, 2023, the Baylor College of Medicine Board of Trustees announced the appointment of Gray Reed Chairman Cary Gray to its Board of Trustees.
As managing partner of Gray Reed from 2006 through 2022 and now the firm's chairman, Gray brings to the Baylor College of Medicine Board a wealth of leadership experience and a profound dedication to the institution's mission.
Gray served on the Board of Regents for Baylor University from 2012 to 2021. During his tenure as a Regent, he chaired the Nominating, Governance and Regent Leadership Committee and the University Leadership and Compensation Committee where he developed a deep understanding of the fiduciary obligations that trustees have to organizations of any kind, as well as the balance between transparency of operations and confidentiality. This expertise positions Gray to serve as an extraordinary resource on governance issues to public, private and non-profit boards.
"I'm honored to join the Baylor College of Medicine Board of Trustees," said Cary Gray. "I have long admired the institution's commitment to advancing healthcare, research and education, and I look forward to collaborating with the board to further these critical goals."
