Gray Reed Adds M&A Partner in Dallas

Gray Reed is thrilled to announce the addition of Amy Lott to the firm's Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group in Dallas. With clients ranging from corporations, partnerships and entrepreneurs to family offices, investment companies and individual investors, Lott focuses her practice on structuring a wide variety of transactions, including stock and asset acquisitions, mergers, private placements, joint ventures and financings. Many clients also rely on her as their outside general counsel to advise on tax-efficient entity structuring, investment vehicles, regulatory compliance, business disputes and day-to-day contracting, operational and governance matters.

Lott’s diverse skill set and resources give her the flexibility to work with domestic and international clients of all types and sizes spanning a number of industries, including energy, real estate, healthcare, banking, investment management, mining and refining, food and beverage, manufacturing and software. She also has deep experience in the aviation industry, primarily focused on advising commercial and charter airlines, as well as individual aircraft owners, on a variety of transactional and operational matters, including the acquisition and lease of private aircraft, general commercial transactions and FAA regulatory compliance.

By leveraging her broad experience and gaining first-hand knowledge of each client’s business, Lott provides valuable counsel to directors, executives and business owners on how to proactively resolve corporate governance issues and maintain compliance with strict regulatory frameworks. In addition, her clients value her ability to guide them through each phase of a deal from concept to post-closing and give them confidence that they’re making the right decisions every step of the way.

Lott is also dedicated to protecting her clients when their needs go beyond her practice focus. Whether it involves connecting a client to her network of lenders to obtain financing or leading a hand-picked team of lawyers and other professionals to resolve a complex issue, she always explores every available option to ensure that her clients reach the best outcome possible.

She earned her B.B.A. and M.B.A. from Dallas Baptist University and her J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
