I take a detail-focused approach to oil and gas title examination and transactions, which means clients may rely on me to uncover critical issues and deliver the accuracy they need to move forward with projects knowing their businesses are protected.

Katie English focuses her practice on preparing drilling, division order and acquisition title opinions for active oil and gas operators in Texas, North Dakota and Montana. She is Board Certified in Oil, Gas & Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Katie also has experience in a variety of oil and gas transactional matters, including purchase and sale agreements, pooling and unitization agreements, assignments of working interests and overriding royalty interests, and financing and security agreements for loans secured by oil, gas and mineral leases and overriding royalty interests.

Katie received her B.A. from the University of Texas and graduated with honors from University of Texas School of Law in 2010, where she was a staff editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas & Energy Law. She is also a member of Gray Reed’s Pro Bono Committee, which is dedicated to increasing volunteer and pro bono opportunities for the firm’s lawyers within the Houston and Dallas communities.
