Matthew W. Bourda
Associate

Clients hire me when financial advice has failed to solve their problems, and they need an effective courtroom advocate and empathetic legal advisor who can help them navigate the bankruptcy process. My approach in every case is to walk clients through the unique complexities of bankruptcy law, explore every option on the table, and help them make practical business decisions that will lead to the best possible resolution.

Matt Bourda focuses his practice on guiding debtors, creditors and other parties through all types of bankruptcy and corporate restructuring matters. He works with clients in several industry sectors, including oil and gas, commercial real estate, banking and many more.

Before entering private practice, Matt served as a judicial clerk in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. He gained valuable insights on effective courtroom tactics, procedural matters and how judges evaluate various bankruptcy issues that help him solve clients’ most challenging problems.
