Jennifer M. Perry
Counsel

My previous in-house counsel experience in the healthcare industry helps me appreciate my clients’ business priorities and the importance of leveraging every resource available to achieve their goals. I also have a unique understanding of how implementing a new initiative or policy impacts the various departments within the organization and their day-to-day operations. I take a practical approach to the work I handle for my clients and always consider their individual risk tolerances and business strategies. Every individual agreement or project makes an impact on the overall goal of the client and the ability to effectively serve their patients.

Jennifer Perry focuses her practice on healthcare compliance issues, physician practice formation and general corporate matters for a variety of healthcare clients, ranging from hospital systems, physician practices and surgery centers to pharmacies and laboratories. They rely on Jennifer to advise on the numerous health regulations that impact their businesses, including Joint Commission regulations, the anti-kickback statute, Stark Law, non-profit regulations, media and marketing regulations, and HIPAA/HITECH regulations. She also has significant experience handling hospital operational issues related to regulatory compliance and risk management.

Before joining Gray Reed, Jennifer served as Associate General Counsel at Memorial Hermann Health System, where she handled a variety of transactional, compliance, operational, and media and marketing issues for the various departments and facilities throughout Texas. She also served as General Counsel at Houston Orthopedic & Spine Hospital n/k/a Memorial Hermann Orthopedic & Spine Hospital, where she was responsible for all facility legal functions, including risk management, licensing, quality control and human resources. In addition, she worked as an in-house generalist for a medical devices manufacturer, handling everything from litigation management, transactions and compliance to investor relations, employee training and international distributor contracting/registrations.
