Gray Reed is proud to announce that partner Darin Brooks has been elected president-elect of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel (TADC) during the organization’s annual meeting held September 19, 2025.

Brooks will begin his term as president in September 2026, serving through September 2027.

A longtime member of TADC since 1997, Brooks has served on the board of directors since 2011, contributing to the association’s mission of promoting fairness, professionalism and excellence within the Texas civil defense bar.

Serving as Gray Reed’s Insurance Law Practice Group Leader, Brooks is board certified in Insurance Law and has built a diverse insurance coverage practice known for its flexibility and depth. Brooks represents clients across a range of industries—including insurance, energy, construction, banking, and healthcare—both in pre-suit advice, complex litigation before state and federal courts, arbitration panels, and appellate courts, and transactional matters as to insurance and indemnity. He also has a background in other commercial litigation, regularly representing energy companies, banks, hospitals and real estate-related entities.
