Isreal J. Miller, CPA, CFP®
Partner

Many of my clients are entrepreneurs whose largest asset is a family business. My approach to estate planning includes tax planning and business succession planning, in addition to wills and trusts.

Isreal Miller focuses his practice on estate planning, asset protection planning, and business succession planning.  He also handles matters related to tax, probate, and the administration of estates and trusts.  He listens – aiming to understand your goals, your family dynamics, and your concerns – before proposing legal solutions.  His goal is to provide peace of mind and effective solutions that his clients understand and can implement.

Isreal began his career as in-house counsel at a wealth management firm in Dallas where he advised clients on estate planning and business structuring.  He then worked as a hearings attorney for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts in Austin handling a variety of state tax matters.  While at the Comptroller’s office, he personally handled over 1,700 cases and litigated over 850 of those cases.  In 2017, he joined Gray Reed and has been in private practice ever since.

Isreal advises high net worth individuals on how to minimize gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer taxes, as well as how to implement and administer complex estate planning structures.  He also cares deeply about pro bono work and regularly provides estate planning through the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program.

Isreal is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law and Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  He is a licensed CPA in Texas and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.  He is also a regular presenter at Texas Society of CPAs conferences speaking on estate planning and tax topics.
