Lori Troutman brings more than 25 years of experience advising clients on a broad range of ERISA-related matters, with a primary focus on the design, implementation and management of qualified defined benefit and defined contribution plans, and all types of health and welfare benefit plans. Diverse clients across a variety of industries count on Lori to help them achieve their employee benefit plan objectives, including oil and gas companies, labor unions, hospitals, universities, non-profit organizations and many more.
Lori also devotes a significant portion of her practice to drafting employment, consulting and separation agreements, negotiating service provider contracts, and helping clients navigate the complex state and federal regulatory frameworks governing their employee benefits plans and executive compensation arrangements. In addition, Lori works closely with the firm’s transactional lawyers to resolve the employee benefits and compliance issues involved in mergers, acquisitions and other high-stakes commercial transactions.
Lori worked for two years as a compliance manager at Schlumberger, where she counseled the world’s largest oilfield services company regarding its employee benefits plans. Lori’s in-house experience gives her an intimate understanding of the daily challenges her clients face and enables her to align each client’s employee benefits strategy with their primary business goals.
