Gunner West joined Gray Reed in 2024 after serving as a Summer Associate in 2023 and as a law clerk in 2024. During that time, he gained valuable experience in a wide range of corporate and real estate transactions, providing him with a solid foundation in transactional matters.
While attending law school, Gunner was a member of the South Texas Law Review and the editor-in-chief of the Harry L. Reed Oil & Gas Law Institute’s Energy Newsletter. He held board positions in various student organizations, including the Student Bar Association, the Oil & Gas Law Society and the Texas Exes Legal Network. He was actively involved in the law school’s nationally recognized advocacy program, competing in moot court tournaments and negotiation competitions.
Prior to law school, Gunner studied finance at The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business, equipping him with the foundational knowledge and skills necessary to assist clients with complex transactional matters.
