Government investigations represent a threat to my clients’ freedom and livelihoods. As a former Assistant Attorney General, I use my knowledge and experience to develop the most effective strategy for each individual client to ensure that their interests are protected throughout the process.
As a former government trial lawyer and enforcement attorney, as well as an aide, strategist and researcher to candidates for every office from state representative to president, Adam Yost brings a unique experience to the firm’s white collar practice. He primarily helps corporations and individuals navigate regulatory investigations, civil enforcement actions and criminal investigations brought by various government agencies.
Before joining Gray Reed, Adam served as an Assistant Attorney General and Special Projects Counsel to the Deputy Attorney General in the Office of the Virginia Attorney General. There, he worked with state and federal law enforcement and regulators to pursue enforcement actions against Wall Street banks, construction contractors, and public officials. He led successful investigations into abusive labor practices in the construction industry and violations of the False Claims Act and state analogues.
Adam’s experience gives him first-hand insight as to how the government assesses complex cases, and he understands how to achieve beneficial settlements without government intervention. With experience in state and federal trial and appeals courts, Adam is willing to fight when necessary.
Adam focuses his practice on representing corporations and individuals in civil and criminal actions brought by government agencies such as the Department of Justice, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Securities & Exchange Commission, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the Texas State Securities Board.
