Gray Reed & McGraw has further expanded its Oil & Gas section with the addition of Jorge Gutierrez as an Associate in the firm’s Dallas office. Jorge’s practice focuses on natural resources law with an emphasis on title examination. He primarily represents energy companies in their exploration and production operations. Prior to law school, Jorge enjoyed an eleven-year career in corporate and investment banking and corporate finance where he primarily advised companies in the oil and gas sector, with special emphasis on exploration and production, mid-stream, and service and supply companies. In that time, he advised over 20 clients in raising in excess of $2.0 billion of capital in syndicated bank transactions. Additionally, he has experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions, having worked with the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of the former Banc One Capital Markets, where he advised business owners and executive officers on long-term, growth strategies. Jorge’s industry experience includes the energy, healthcare, manufacturing, and commercial finance sectors. He received his J.D. from Baylor University and his B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
