Gray Reed Attorneys Attain Board Certification in Tax Law

Gray Reed & McGraw is pleased to announce that Gray Reed attorneys Deidra Wilson Hubenak and David Gair have received their Board Certification in Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. This accomplishment puts Hubenak and Gair among a select group as only four people passed the tax specialization test in 2011 and only 27 passed in the last 10 years.

Deidra Wilson Hubenak is a licensed attorney and a Certified Public Accountant with more than 20 years of experience providing multinational corporations, closely held businesses and individuals with tax planning. Half of that experience was obtained while working in the international tax section of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and the federal tax section of Ernst & Young, LLP.

David Gair's practice focuses on taxation with a special emphasis on tax controversy work. He routinely represents clients in civil and criminal matters. He has represented numerous clients in the United States District Courts, the Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Gair's practice also involves tax planning for entrepreneurs and small businesses, including partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations.  His practice involves all aspects of business tax planning, including entity formation, restructuring, acquisitions, and dispositions, as well as various aspects of individual tax planning.

The Texas Board of Legal Specialization, authorized by the Supreme Court of Texas, certifies attorneys in 20 specific areas of law. Board certification helps ensure that the citizens of Texas receive the highest quality legal services. For more information, please visit www.tbls.org.
