Gray Reed Welcomes Associate to Healthcare Practice

Gray Reed is thrilled to announce the addition of Rachel Freeman to the firm's healthcare practice in Dallas. 

Freeman focuses her practice on advising healthcare providers on operational, transactional and compliance matters including drafting a variety of healthcare contracts and documents. She has experience with Federal Anti-Kickback Statute, the Physician Self-Referral Statute (Stark Law), the Texas Illegal Remuneration Statute, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA), the False Claims Act and the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

Freeman earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Auburn University and her J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. During law school, she was an active member of the SMU Law Review Association serving as the editor of the SMU Annual Texas Survey. She also interned for the Office of General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service.

Freeman joins a team of health law attorneys who have been nationally recognized by the U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers (a Woodward/White company) "Best Law Firms" 2018 ranking and in the Chambers USA 2017 legal directory.
