Gray Reed Attorney Receives Barrier Breaker Award

Gray Reed Of Counsel and former Harris County Judge Robert Eckels was honored by Career & Recovery Resources, Inc. at the organization’s 21st Annual Barrier Breaker Award Luncheon in Houston, Texas, on June 27, 2017.

The annual Barrier Breaker Luncheon is held to honor local leaders and acknowledge several of the organization’s star clients who have overcome personal barriers in order to achieve success. Eckels was recognized for his efforts to carry out the organization’s mission of helping people identify and overcome barriers to employment.

Along with his contributions to the Career & Recovery Resources, Eckels is recognized as a national leader in issues of transportation, public finance/public private partnerships, homeland security, the environment and health care. His legal practice at Gray Reed & McGraw is built on a decades-long career in public service and leadership of the nation's third largest county. He is a graduate of the University of Houston and South Texas College of Law Houston.
