Gray Reed’s Patrick Souter Named 2017 President of Texas Health Lawyers Association

After serving as secretary in 2015 and treasurer in 2016, Gray Reed’s Patrick Souter will serve as president of the Texas Health Lawyers Association in 2017.

Souter is known for his legal and educational experience in the healthcare industry, making him a sought-after resource for clients and students alike. His primary areas of practice are related to transactional and administrative healthcare, corporate, securities and antitrust matters. He is Board Certified in Healthcare Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

He is also a professor of health care studies at Baylor University School of Law where he teaches Health Care Law, Health Care Fraud and Abuse and Regulation of Health Care Professionals. Souter also teaches students in the Baylor University Hankamer School of Business M.B.A. Program as well.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Souter obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Juris Doctorate from Baylor University and his M.B.A. in Health Services Management at the University of Dallas. Souter has also completed the training by the American Health Lawyers Association as a mediator and arbitrator.
