Gray Reed is pleased to announce that Partner Christian Dewhurst has been elected Chair of the Houston Bar Association Litigation Section for the upcoming bar year.

Dewhurst is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on construction litigation and commercial disputes. He represents project owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in matters involving delay claims, construction defects, payment disputes, lien claims and related commercial litigation. He also handles a broad range of business disputes, including breach of contract, shareholder matters and employment-related claims.

A native Houstonian, Dewhurst earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston, where he served as an Assistant Editor of the South Texas Law Review and competed successfully in national moot court competitions. He is active in the Houston legal community and currently serves as an adjunct professor of Appellate Advocacy at Houston College of Law.
