Gray Reed held its second annual Volunteer Day on Friday, May 31, 2024. Attorneys and staff from the firm's Houston, Dallas and Waco offices dedicated their afternoon to volunteering at local food banks and making a positive impact in their communities.

Sixty-three Gray Reed volunteers from the firm’s Dallas and Waco offices spent the afternoon at the North Texas Food Bank. They prepared an incredible 18,000 pounds of food, which will provide more than 15,000 meals for families in North Texas experiencing food insecurity. The Gray Reed Foundation also donated $5,000 to the North Texas Food Bank, a contribution that will supply an additional 45,000 meals.

Meanwhile, the Houston office volunteered at the Houston Food Bank. Gray Reed's 67 volunteers sorted and organized 417 boxes of food, resulting in nearly 13,000 meals for families in 18 southeast Texas counties.

Through this year's Volunteer Day efforts, Gray Reed provided the equivalent of more than 73,000 meals to those in need across north and southeast Texas.
