Gray Reed is pleased to announce the partnership’s unanimous election of Kyle Sanders to Managing Partner. Sanders takes the reins from Cary Gray, who has served as the firm’s Managing Partner since 2006.  Gray will become Chairman of the firm.  The new roles will be effective January 1, 2023.

Sanders started in Gray Reed’s Houston office in 1996 and has held numerous leadership positions in the last 26 years including Chair of the Family Law Department and member of the firm’s board of directors, executive committee and compensation committee.

Sanders’ practice is focused on complex property division and business reorganization in the marital property context. He has successfully resolved hundreds of complex marital property cases involving emotionally-charged disputes and sophisticated property and business issues. 

Meanwhile, Gray will transition to the firm’s Chairman to focus on clients and serve as brand ambassador.  He will primarily be involved in community and business organizations in Houston, Dallas and Waco. Gray will continue to chair the firm’s board meetings, as he has since 2006. Under Gray’s leadership as Managing Partner, the firm doubled in size, expanded to Waco, and built an operational structure to maximize efficiency and profitability.
