Gray Reed Announces Attorney Promotions

Gray Reed is proud to announce that Kristen KellyJake LewisMary Mason and Cole Robinson have been elected as new partners, effective January 1, 2022. In addition, Jill Bindler has been named E-Discovery Practice Group Leader and Kevin Davidson has been promoted to Counsel, also effective January 1, 2022.

Kelly has achieved successful results for clients in numerous commercial litigation matters before federal, state and appellate courts throughout Texas. She has significant experience working with clients across several industries, with a strong emphasis on insurance, energy, oilfield services, financial institutions and construction. Kelly has resolved a variety of disputes involving insurance policy interpretation and related issues, ranging from duty to defend and indemnification to additional insureds and other coverage disputes.

Lewis focuses his practice on resolving a broad range of employment litigation matters, including defense of employers under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and state anti-discrimination laws. He has significant experience handling Department of Labor audits and related litigation involving misclassification of employees and payment of overtime and minimum wage. Lewis also prosecutes and defends unfair competition disputes from preliminary injunctive relief through trial, typically involving non-compete agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and misappropriation of trade secrets.

Mason is Board Certified in Estate Planning & Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and serves as Leader of Gray Reed's Probate and Trust Administration Practice Group. She guides families and fiduciaries through every phase of the probate and estate administration process, from making required filings and meeting critical deadlines, gathering and appraising assets, and filing the federal estate tax return to paying debts and ultimately distributing assets to the beneficiaries and funding testamentary trusts. 

Robinson focuses his practice on the acquisition, disposition, development, financing and leasing of commercial properties located in Texas and many other states across the country. His clients range from small and mid-size local businesses to multi-national corporations, including developers, landowners, investors, landlords, tenants and lenders. Robinson also has an extensive background in general commercial transactions and corporate governance matters, which helps him structure deals more efficiently and resolve a variety of day-to-day issues for his real estate clients.

Bindler is the firm’s go-to advisor on all aspects of E-Discovery in litigation and investigations involving complex, high-volume document production obligations. She guides litigation teams and client's legal and IT departments through every phase of the E-Discovery process, from document preservation and collection to review and production. She also regularly works with clients to guide them in implementing an appropriate Data Retention Policy, Legal Hold Protocols, and to prevent internal loss of data or spoilations issues.

Davidson focuses his practice on resolving the entire range of family law matters for clients in Dallas and surrounding counties, including divorce proceedings, child custody matters, marital property agreements and complex property division and enforcement. He is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
