Martindale-Hubbell and Fortune Magazine Recognizes Gray Reed as a 2012 Top Law Firm

Gray Reed & McGraw has been recognized by Fortune Magazine and Martindale-Hubbell as one of the top nationally ranked law firms in the United States.  This honor was determined by having at least 33 percent of its attorneys achieving a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating.  According to Martindale-Hubbell, the firm's lawyers are "part of a select group recognized for exceptional legal abilities and professional ethical standards."

To compile a list of top law firms in the U.S., Lexis Nexis Martindale Hubbell researched its comprehensive database of 1 million lawyers and firms in more than 160 countries and identified U.S. law firms of 21 or more attorneys where at least one out of three lawyers achieved the AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating. This rating indicates the rated lawyer has been deemed by his or her peers to have demonstrated the highest level of ethical standards and legal ability.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings are an objective indicator of a lawyer's high ethical standards and professional ability, generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary in the United States and Canada. The first review to establish a lawyer's rating usually occurs three years after their first admission to the bar.

Fortune magazine recognized the 2012 Top Ranked Law Firms in its December 26 issue, a widely read issue that also includes the "2012 Investor's Guide."  In addition to reaching Fortune's 4.4 million readers, the section is also featured online at and
