The law firm of Gray Reed & McGraw is pleased to announce that Terry L. Thornton of the Dallas office was elected to the firm's Board of Directors, and Jonathan M. Hyman of the Houston office was named a Shareholder and elected to the firm's Board of Directors.
Terry Thornton has been actively involved in real estate transactional practice for more than 20 years and is board-certified in commercial real estate law. She also has an extensive practice forming and assisting owners' associations and planned unit development regimes, both residential and commercial, as well as negotiating and drafting lease documents. Ms. Thornton graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Texas in 1979 and received her law degree from Southern Methodist University in 1982.
Jonathan Hyman's practice focuses on complex business litigation. Mr. Hyman has obtained favorable verdicts, judgments and settlements on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of complex business litigation matters, including cases relating to fraud, fraudulent transfer, breach of contract, UCC, DTPA, employer/employee contracts (including non-competition agreements), trade secrets and wrongful death. In recent years, Mr. Hyman has focused on the litigation of franchisor/franchisee disputes as well as the representation of employers in employee compensation, non-compete and trade secret disputes. He holds both undergraduate and law degrees from Tulane University, both cum laude.
