Jack Rains Elected President of “C” Club of Houston; Cary Gray Becomes Member

HOUSTON - Jack Rains, an attorney at Gray Reed & McGraw, was elected President of the "C" Club of Houston. In addition, Cary Gray, Managing Director of Gray Reed & McGraw, was selected to become a member of the organization.

Founded in 1964, the "C" Club of Houston strives to promote an environment in which political candidates possessing high moral principles and a clear vision of the future can be elected. The "C" Club's support of political candidates is based upon, but not limited to, the candidate's support of conservative fiscal policies; and, the preservation of our communities and the promotion of a strong economy. Rains' public service record includes serving as Texas' 95th Secretary of the State and his candidacy for Governor of Texas in 1990. Over his career, in recognition of his service and accomplishments, Rains has received numerous awards and honors. Rains earned his bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University and his law degree from the University of Houston. He has been named a Distinguished Alumnus by both universities and also named an Outstanding Graduate of the College of Law.

Gray has over 25 years of securing favorable verdicts and judgments in the United States, as well as throughout the world, in a wide variety of commercial litigation cases including breach of fiduciary duty, collections, deceptive trade practices, defamation, employment discrimination, fraud, fraudulent transfer, negligence, professional (accounting and legal) malpractice, real estate titles, shareholder oppression and shareholder derivative actions, wrongful death and enforcement of contracts.
