Gray Reed's Claude Wilson Named Honorary Fellow by TSCPA

Claude Wilson, a CPA and Member at Gray Reed & McGraw, was recently named Honorary Fellow for 2010-2011 by the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA).

Mr. Wilson is considered one of the most respected tax lawyers in Texas and the United States. In his years of experience, Mr. Wilson has tried significant cases in courts throughout Texas and across the United States. Mr. Wilson represents all forms of business entities and individuals in both tax planning and in tax controversy matters. This includes civil and criminal tax litigation, as well as administrative practice matters before the Internal Revenue Service. He also has expertise in accountant malpractice issues and representation of CPA's before the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.

The TSCPA Honorary Fellow award is bestowed annually on a certified public accountant and member of TSCPA who has distinguished him/herself within the accounting profession as well as his community.

Mr. Wilson's dedication to the TSCPA includes serving as President in 1989-1990 as well as chairing numerous TSCPA committees many of which he served as chairman.

TSCPA exists to support its members in their professional endeavors and to promote the value and high standards of Texas Certified Public Accountants. The organization is a nonprofit, voluntary, professional organization representing Texas CPAs. It has 20 local chapters statewide and has 28,000 members, the largest in-state membership of any CPA organization in the nation. The Society is committed to serving the public interest with programs that advance the highest standards of ethics and practice within the CPA profession.
