Gray Reed partner Jason Brookner was elected to the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) Board of Directors during ABI’s 35th Annual Spring Meeting, held April 20-23, 2017, in Washington, D.C.

In addition, Brookner is currently serving as the Texas & Southwest regional co-chair for the ABI Endowment, and is on the planning advisory board for the ABI Southwest Conference. He has previously served as co-chair of the ABI Technology & IP Committee (2013-2015), as co-chair of the ABI Commercial Fraud Committee (2010 – 2012), and as the ABI Commercial Fraud Committee education director (2008 – 2010).
Brookner has substantial experience representing and advising companies, buyers, creditors, trustees, committees, lenders and other constituents in all aspects of distressed, insolvency and restructuring scenarios. Brookner received his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law, and attended the State University of New York at Binghamton for his undergraduate education.
