Gray Reed & McGraw Partner Daryl Bailey was announced as the 2017 chair of Lexwork Americas, an association of high-quality, mid-sized independent law firms. He previously served as vice chair and has been a member of the Lexwork Governing Board since 2014. 

As a trial lawyer, Bailey has successfully obtained favorable judgments for his clients through jury verdicts and bench trials. As a counselor, Bailey has been instrumental in assisting clients resolve their disputes through mediation-formal and informal. Bailey practices complex commercial, business litigation with an emphasis in real estate matters, including construction and employment litigation. He is particularly accomplished in disputes related to real estate and claims against title insurance companies and their insureds. Bailey’s appellate practice includes a case he argued before the Texas Supreme Court, which Texas Lawyer ranked as one of the top 50 cases that had a significant impact on Texas law. 

In addition, Gray Reed’s Director of Client Development Michael Blachly, who also serves on the Lexwork Governing Board, was appointed to serve as marketing chair. Blachly oversees Gray Reed’s firm-wide strategic marketing and business development initiatives. His areas of expertise include: Strategic planning, business development, marketing technology, project management, process improvement, talent management, knowledge management, campaign development, creative production, public relations and events.
