Gray Reed & McGraw shareholder David Gair was recently elected to serve as the 2017 chair of the Dallas Bar Association Tax Section.
Gair is Board Certified in Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He focuses his practice on tax matters and tax litigation in the United States Tax Court, United States Court of Federal Claims, United States Bankruptcy Courts and United States District Courts.
Gair’s practice also includes business and estate planning for entrepreneurs and businesses as well as a significant amount of administrative controversy work, which often involves representation of clients who are under criminal investigation, a civil audit or who have serious IRS collection concerns.
In addition, Gair is a professor at Southern Methodist University where he teaches estate planning in the university’s Continuing and Professional Education program and tax procedure in the Dedman School of Law. He is a graduate of University of Denver Sturm College of Law and was admitted to practice in Texas in 2007 and in Colorado in 2005.
