Judge Robert Eckels Appointed to Houston College of Law Board of Directors

Gray Reed & McGraw is pleased to announce that Judge Robert Eckels, Of Counsel at Gray Reed, was appointed to the Houston College of Law (formerly South Texas College of Law) Board of Directors.

Eckels’ legal practice is built on a career in public service that spans decades. Recognized as a national leader in transportation issues, Eckels was the founding chairman of the Texas High Speed Rail and Transportation Corporation and currently serves as the President of Texas Central Railway. Formerly county judge of Harris County, Eckels was first elected to public service as a state representative in his 20s and served six terms before being elected county judge. He is a graduate of Houston College of Law (formerly South Texas College of Law) and the University of Houston.

Houston College of Law is a private law school located in downtown Houston, Texas. Founded in 1923, it is the oldest law school in Houston and the third-oldest in the state of Texas.
