Having never held elective office, Herman Cain had some ground to cover in the polls in the summer months following his May 2011 candidacy announcement.  By mid October, however, Cain became a real competitor in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.  Then, on October 20, decade old sexual harassment allegations against Herman Cain emerged.  In the weeks that have followed, various versions of the story have surfaced that leave the public wondering what really happened and how the allegations should really be handled.

Ruth Ann Daniels has been a trial lawyer for more than twenty-five years and focuses on employment litigation for management, defending companies against claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour violations under various federal and state statutes, including Title VII (protecting employees from unlawful employment practices on the basis of race, color, religion, sex and national origin), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and Texas Commission on Human Rights Act.  Ruth Ann also has been involved in defending multi-party and class action litigation matters and handling audits by the Department of Labor, particularly with respect to wage and hour claims made under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
