Kyle Carlton brings a holistic approach and outside-the-box strategies to helping business owners and serial entrepreneurs build, grow and protect their wealth and business interests from generation to generation. His practice covers all aspects of tax-efficient business and estate planning, including entity structuring, wealth preservation, trust structuring and modifications, privacy planning, business succession, venture financing, charitable planning, nonprofit entities, and much more.

Many clients also rely on Kyle as their outside general counsel to advise on the wide range of issues that impact their business interests, from commercial transactions and intellectual property protection to dispute resolution, compliance issues and governance matters. When a multi-disciplinary approach is most effective to achieve the client’s goals, Kyle teams up with other experienced lawyers in the firm and his client’s existing advisers to brainstorm and roll out the best strategy possible.

Kyle is always looking ahead to prepare clients for future challenges and opportunities. More recently, he has been helping clients assess the impact of the 2025 estate tax exemption sunset and the new reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act.

Kyle is passionate about making a positive impact on his community and helping the less fortunate globally. He currently serves as Managing Director of the W.E. Hines Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to helping “social entrepreneurs” springboard their unique and relevant concepts to help the poor and change the world. Kyle also serves on the board at Saint Paul’s Episcopal School in Prosper, Texas.
