Christian Dewhurst’s practice is primarily focused on resolving the entire spectrum of claims and litigation that arise during commercial and residential construction projects, including delay in performance claims, design and construction defects, payment disputes, productivity claims, lien claims, work injury claims, plus many more. His client list includes all the various players involved in the construction process, ranging from project owners, developers and general contractors to subcontractors, suppliers and distributors.
In addition to his construction litigation practice, Christian represents businesses in a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including claims involving shareholder disputes, breach of contract, fraud, employment disputes and personal injury. Clients also rely on Christian to negotiate a variety of construction and general commercial transactions and prepare associated deal documents.
A native Houstonian, Christian earned his J.D. at South Texas College of Law, where he served as an Assistant Editor for the South Texas Law Review. He competed in numerous moot court competitions around the country, winning national and regional championships and several brief writing and speaking awards. Upon graduation, Christian was honored with the Dean’s Outstanding Advocate Award and was recognized by the American Society of Legal Writers for authoring the second-best moot court brief in the nation.
