Prior to going into private practice, Elizabeth Pinion worked as a landman for ExxonMobil. Her work included preparation of joint operating agreements, farmouts and exploration agreements. At Gray Reed, Elizabeth primarily prepares drilling, division order and acquisition title opinions.

  • Examine documents recorded with county clerks and the general land office for the preparation of drilling, division order, and acquisition title opinions covering fee, federal, and state lands.
  • Draft curative oil and gas title documents, including stipulations of interest, amendments, and ratifications.
  • Review and draft purchase and sale agreements, exploration agreements, joint operating agreements, deeds, assignments, and other agreements related to exploration and development.
  • Advise oil and gas companies and private mineral owners regarding legal issues related to exploration and development.
