Hubenak Appointed to Houston CPA Society Strategic Planning Committee

Gray Reed & McGraw attorney Deidra Hubenak was appointed to the Strategic Planning Committee for the Houston CPA Society, a Society of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. The committee is responsible for the Society's long range and strategic goals.

The Houston CPA Society was organized in 1928 for the purpose of networking and social interaction.  In the 1940s the Society began offering continuing education for its members.  Since then the organization has become a permanent source of continuing education as well as a professional network for CPAs, not only in Houston, but throughout Texas.  Over 31,000 hours of committee-sponsored continuing education was provided to Society members this past year. The Houston CPA Society's reputation for action, integrity and competence is the result of the strong leadership of its volunteers.  With a membership base of 8,000 CPAs from a 13-county* area, the Society is the largest CPA Society in Texas and larger than 42 state CPA societies.

Deidra Wilson Hubenak is a licensed attorney and a Certified Public Accountant with more than 20 years of experience providing multinational corporations, closely held businesses and individuals with tax planning.  Half of that experience was obtained while working in the international tax section of PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and the federal tax section of Ernst & Young, LLP.
