Gray Reed & McGraw's Jack Emmott Publishes Book to Guide Couples Through Collaborative Divorce

Gray Reed & McGraw family law attorney Jack Emmott recently published Prayerful Passages: Asking God’s Help in Reconciliation, Separation and Divorce. Inspired by Emmott’s work in family law, the book seeks to help couples working through separation and divorce.

Board certified in Family Law and Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Jack focuses his practice on the collaborative family law process, family law litigation and mediation. He believes litigation should be treated as a last resort and is a pioneer in Texas collaborative law. Jack sees the collaborative law process as a client-centered approach that provides privacy, “therapeutic justice” and a means for resolving differences without involving a judge or jury.

The book offers 56 short, specific prayers to help couples navigate the feelings of anger, loss and grief that often arise during separation, divorce and reconciliation.
